Mae L. Grimes

Grimes, Mae L. 98, Gallitzin died May 19, 2017 at her home. Born January 17, 1919 in Gallitzin the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Bradley) Grimes. Preceded in death by her siblings. Survived by nephews and nieces, John “Jay” and Bonnie Kos – Cresson, Theresa and Dan Ruffley – Cresson, Francis Kos and Stanley Kos both of Pittsburgh and Raymond Grimes – Lockport, NY and Clarice Grimes – NY and numerous great nieces and nephews and a ½ brother John Grimes – AZ. Last member of her immediate family. Worked at Publix Shirt Factory as a seamstress.  Mae enjoyed going out to eat, making fudge and visiting. Member of Gallitzin Tourist Council. A 1937 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Friends will be received from 9 am until 10:30 am Monday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Monday at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin the Rev. Msgr. Bernard Przybocki celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery.
