Rodger P. Vasas

Rodger P. Vasas 63, Gallitzin died July 31, 2017 at UPMC Altoona. Born February 1, 1954 in Altoona the son of the late Frank and Marie (Bismark) Vasas. Preceded in death by an infant brother Ronald. Survived by his wife the former Suzanne T. Hall whom he married May 25,1985 and a son Andrew his fiancé Jadon Aldrich – Altoona, a special cousin Sid Schoenfeld – Wilmore and these brothers and sister, Gerald (girlfriend Mary Burke) – Coudersport, Carol Shomette – Chantilly, VA, Frank “Bruce” (Sandy Flowers) – Owssa, OK, Richard (Mary Trembel) – Triangle, VA and numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. Worked as a Master Carpenter for First General Services. Rodger enjoyed reading, woodworking, gardening, fishing and hunting. Friends will be received from 1pm until time of Funeral Service at 5 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin the Rev. Albert Ledoux officiating.
