Grodis, Jason C. “Grodi”, 37 of Gallitzin died December 23, 2012 at his residence. Born July 21, 1975 in Altoona the son of Frank and Donna (Melhorn) Grodis. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Val and Sophie Grodis, and maternal grandfather, Kenneth Melhorn. Survived by his wife the former Bobbi Jo Angus whom he married August 23, 1995 and these children:
Nichole, Carly and Lucas all at home, his parents of Gallitzin, Brother of; Heather Grodis (Mark Krug) and their son Billy – Loretto, Joe, and Jesse (Angel Light) both of Gallitzin, maternal grandmother Betty Melhorn, Altoona and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog Bentley. Worked at the Cresson Secure Treatment Unit as a Youth Care Worker. A 1993 graduate of Penn Cambria High School. Grodi enjoyed fishing, camping, video games, darts on Wednesday night at the Italian Club, coaching little league for the Moose and Sportsmen’s Teams and playing drums in the Tie Down Band. Member of Cresson Italian Club, and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Mary Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Wednesday.
