Mario D. Crocetti 96, Lilly died January 24,2024 at UPMC Altoona. Born January 5,1928 in Gallitzin, the son of the late Domenico and Vincenza (D`Alessandro) Crocetti. Preceded in death by his wife the former Dorothy Zakrzwski on June 28, 2011, son-in-law Joseph Krug, sisters, Edith Pelliccioni, Stella Petta, and infant brother Joseph. Survived by his children, Mario J. (Annette), Deborah Krug, Michael (Angie) and Kathy (James) Briggs, grandchildren Mario D (Gabby), Justin (Brielle), Dana (Andrew) Ronan, Joseph Krug, and Emily (Justin) White and Jacob (Allison) Yarnish, Leesa (Jimmy) Morris, Aaron Briggs, great-grandchildren Cruz, Lauren, Anthony, Levi, Presley, Penelope, Piper, Lukas, Jameson, and Kadence. Brother of Ellen DeYulius, Ann DiGuiseppe and Gilda Eggerstorfer and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1947 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Worked at the Altoona Center retiring in 1991. Mario loved playing the accordion, bowling, doing yard work, going to breakfast with friends, and especially his family. Member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church, Lilly where funeral mass will be held at 11 am Monday the Rev. Matthew Reese celebrant. Committal Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 to 7 pm Sunday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a wake service will be held Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to St. Jude’s or the American Heart Association in Mario’s memory.
