Andrew C.” Andy” Lysic Jr. 79, Lilly died February 26, 2018 at his home. Born December 17, 1938 in Cresson the son of the late Andrew Sr. and Pauline (Urban) Lysic. Preceded in death by a brother John and sisters Helena (Mike) Infantino, Dorothea (Edward) Ferut, brothers-in-law Edward Pyo and Edward Geisbrecht. Survived by his wife the former Josephine Sibis whom he married November 20, 1965 and daughters Joanne (Andrew) – Regan - Lilly and Cathy (Phillip) Baker – Pittsburgh, grandchildren, Stephanie (Bill) McGowan, Victoria Regan, Maggie and Maxwell Baker and great-grandson, Liam McGowan. Brother of Jane Pyo, Shirley Lysic, Patricia Lysic, Virginia (Jerry) Wirtes, Barbara Lysic, Joe (Theresa) Lysic, Betty Lou Geisbrecht, Debra (Colin) Hoover and sister-in-law Barbara “BJ” Lysic. Retired from Conrail in 2001. Army Veteran. Member of Lilly American Legion, Life member of PNA. Andy enjoyed tinkering in his shed, gardening, wood working and stone work. Member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Chapel Catholic Church, Lilly where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Thursday the Rev. Kevin Queally TOR celebrant. Committal Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Wednesday. Military Rites by Lilly American Legion. The family suggest donations be made to Sacred Heart Sisters, 866 Cambria Street, Cresson, PA 16630 in Andy’s memory.
