Cynthia “Cindy”, “Aunt C.” Skupien, 70 Gallitzin died June 30, 2019 at Altoona Center for Nursing. Born October 19, 1948 in Coupon the daughter of the late Arthur and Stella (Kent) Cherico. Preceded in death by her husband David on August 20, 1997 and brother Richard. Survived by her son Thomas, grandson, Jayden, a special little girl Renee, mother-in-law Ruth Skupien, sister of John (Pat) Cherico, Raymond (Joyce) Cherico, Carmen Cherico and Michael (Kathy) Cherico a special niece Lynn Yetsko and special friend Cathy Wilt, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Herta Ruth Cherico. A 1966 graduate of Gallitzin High School where she served as vice-president. Cindy had a special love for all children and was an Avid Steelers fan, enjoyed bowling and gambling. Member of Gallitzin Fire Co Auxiliary and former member of Gallitzin Area Ambulance Service. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant, Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. At Cindy’s request there will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements by Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin.
