Diane (Mulhern) Summerville

Diane Summerville 71, Gallitzin died June 12, 2019 at her home. Born December 22, 1947 in Tunnelhill the daughter of the late Edward and Stella (Roles) Mulhern. Preceded in death by grandson, James R.  Summerville and sisters Stella “Betty” Lee and Nancy Brown, brothers, Edward “Ted” and Patrick “Bun”. Survived by her husband James F. whom she married Sept. 21, 1968 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gallitzin and daughters, Christine (Gary) Grant, Stacey (Shawn T.) Smith and Jennifer (John) Merlini, grandchildren, Andrew Grant, Nathaniel Summerville, Noah Summerville, Brandon Merlini and Shawn Smith. Sister of Rita McMahon, Leneva Kozel, Mary Vinglas, Marjorie (Harry) Marks, Bernadette Tomlinson, Jeanne (John) Raymond and Margaret “Peggy” (Charles) Coder and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid bingo player loved crocheting and playing cards. Auxiliary member of the Gallitzin Moose served as a CCD teacher and member of the choir at St. Demetrius Catholic Church where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm Saturday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Friday. The family suggest donations be made to St. Demetrius Church in Diane’s memory.
