Edith I. (Mazzetti) Evon

Edith I. Evon 95, Hollidaysburg formerly of Gallitzin died September 30, 2017 at the home of her daughter Andrea. Born March 26, 1922 in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Anthony and Giovannina (Santoni) Mazzetti. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph on June 29, 2006 and an infant brother, Marion. Survived by her daughters; Joanne (Victor) Sanders – Martinsburg and Andrea (Terry) Novak – Hollidaysburg, grandchildren, Kevin (Denise) Sanders, Joe (Shannon) Sanders, Valerie Sanders (Victor Krischuk), Andrew Novak (Rachael Drenning), great-grandchildren, Cody (Holli Stanton), Karlee (Zack ) Wilson, David, Samuel, Tyson, Luca and Noah, sisters, Gina Wahl – Cresson and Anna Mazzetti – Hollidaysburg and brother Mario (Carole) Mazzetti – Gallitzin, sister-in-law Mary Russo – Altoona and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they said she made the best skeddy, reading sewing, cooking for the family. Former member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 am Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. Committal St. Mary Cemetery.
