George J. Voyer Jr. 75, Cresson died January 15, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born October 10, 1943 in Wakefield, RI the son of the late George J. Sr. and Ruth (Stanton) Voyer. Survived by his wife the former Dorothy Krug whom he married Oct. 26, 1968 at St. Thomas Church, Ashville, celebrating 50 years together and children; Angela (Doug) Cox  and daughter Camille– Phoenix, AZ, Andrew (Kelly) and their daughters Riley and Sarah – Kalakes, HI, brothers Peter (Dorothy) – Ellington, CT and Paul – Greer, SC, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and in-laws. George retired from Fairfax County Police Department, Fairfax, VA. He was a Marine Corp Veteran of Vietnam War. Member of Loretto American Legion, Secular Franciscan and Involved with the Marine Corp League. George enjoyed hunting, reading and local sports, especially Bishop Carroll where his children attended. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Saturday the Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Committal church cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin, PA 16641 where the Legion of Mary will recite a rosary at 3:30 pm and a vigil service will be held Friday evening. The family suggest donations be made to All Saints Catholic School,220 Powell Ave. Cresson, PA 16630.Bishop Carroll High School,728 Ben Franklin Highway, Ebensburg, PA 15931 or Secular Franciscan -St. Elizabeth Fraternity, PO Box 129, Cresson, PA 16630.
