Irma M. (Forlina) Peters

Irma M. Peters 95, a resident of Just Like Home, Cresson formerly of Gallitzin died August 4, 2019 in Cresson. Born September 24, 1923 in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Dominic and Dorothy (Costella) Forlina. Preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Chamboy” on Dec. 22, 1987, son Richard August 19, 2001 and brother Anthony. Survived by children; Dennis (Barbara), Jean (Joe) Eckenrode and Ronald (Carol). Grandchildren, Daniel (Carly). Megan, Mark, Amanda (Barry) Brian, Matthew and Lindsay (Josh), great grandchildren, Haylie Ann and Cameron. Last member of her family. Worked as a seamstress for Publix Shirt Factory and retired in 1975. A 1941 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Irma enjoyed cooking, baking and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil will be held Tuesday.
