Julia L. Sieg

Sieg, Julia L. “Julie” 90 of Lilly died October 9, 2015 at UPMC Altoona. Born March 13, 1925 in Zimmerman, Lincoln Twp. Somerset County the daughter of late J.E. and Julia (Carmody) Knupp and raised by adoptive parent Blair and Ruth (Knupp) Mulhollen. Preceded in death by husband Francis who died September 9, 2000, twin sister, Betty Wickham on February 22, 2015, brothers, Richard (Ruby) Knupp and Second Lt. Daniel Knupp killed in action in WW II and adopted brother James Mulhollen. Survived by children:
Daniel (Laura Whitcomb) – Lilly
Cindy (Lou) Brumbaugh – Flinton
Michael (Kim Myers) – Gallitzin
Grandchildren, Aaron Sieg, Brett (Shannon) O’Donnell, Shawn (Stephanie) O’Donnell, Jody (Lynn) O’Donnell, Richard and Robert Sieg, Jessica and Kelly Miller (step-grandchildren), great-grandchildren, Gage, Alayna, Brady and Sayge and a sister Joanne Potter – Mary Esther, FL. Julie enjoyed dancing, gardening and visiting people. She cleaned house for area businesses and families. Former Eastern Star member in Ebensburg. Friends will be received from 4 pm until time of Funeral Service at 7pm Monday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Committal Weller Cemetery, Somerset.
