Nancy A. (Dashner) Knee

Nancy A. Knee 75, Gallitzin died September 18, 2019 at UPMC Altoona. Born March 19, 1944 in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Celestine and Gladys (Sweeney) Dashner. Preceded in death by a grandson Nicolas Cisco Rodriguez, son-in-law Nicolas Rodriguez, brothers, Bernard and Francis and sister Marion Surma. Survived by her husband RobertE.. Knee whom she married Jan. 28, 1967 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gallitzin and daughters, Roberta Rodriguez, Celeste (David) Morris and Jonette Knee, grandchildren, Marisa and Jon Rodriguez and Caleb and Grace Morris and brothers, John and Kenneth (Alice) and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was an Administrative Assistant for the Gallitzin Sewer & Disposal Authority for over 30 years. She is a 1962 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Nancy enjoyed vacationing with family, going on cruises and involvement with the Gallitzin community. Member of the Women of the Moose and Auxiliary to the American Legion both of Gallitzin, former Girl Scout Leader, only women mayor of Gallitzin and was very active in all Gallitzin Borough activities. Member of the fiance council and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday the Msgr. Bernard Przybocki celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing.
