Paul Hoover, 62, Ashville died November 26, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born January 3, 1955 in Spangler the son of the late Richard A. and Hilda G. (Holtz) Hoover. Preceded in death by a brother Francis. Survived by brothers and sisters; Patricia Derr (Paul Nelen) – Chest Springs, Donald (Patricia) – Patton, Henry (Renee) – Ebensburg, Eugene (Karen) – Cresson, Mary Crawhorn – Daytona, FL, Brian (Alissa) – Rockhill, SC, Mark – Lilly, Helene (Ray) Barber – Kleene, TX, Kathleen (David) Dutile – NC, Victor (Bo) – FL, Nancy (Robert) Erauth – NC and Fay (Joseph) Hutsky – Ashville, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Paul worked as a mechanic for Hines Equipment. A 1973 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School. Paul enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, old music, gardening, helping others, welding and tinkering around. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Wednesday.
