Richard L. “Dickie” “Hawkeye” Quinn 74 Gallitzin died May 18, 2019 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born October 27,1944 in Gallitzin the son of the late Donavan and Margaret (Ferguson) Quinn. Preceded in death by stepfather, Elmer Gailey, brothers, David, Donovan (Sandy) Gerard and brothers-in-law, Boyd Mirovich, Robert Dillalogue and John Julian. Survived by brothers and sisters, Betty Marie Mirovich, Nina Dillalogue, James “Sam” (Sue), Thomas, Daniel (Rita), Dorothy Julian, sister-in-law Mary Agnes Quinn and numerous nieces and nephews. A Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Formerly worked for Gallitzin Borough. A 1963 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Member of Gallitzin American Legion. Former member of Gallitzin VFW and Moose. Dickie enjoyed playing softball for the Moose., he also player football and baseball in high school. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Thursday at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held. Military Rites by Gallitzin American Legion and other local military organizations.
