Tommy and Sammy were his priority from the first day they were born, and you could find Tom on the sidelines cheering their baseball and soccer games, at Yin Yang Karate Club admiring their skills, and helping with the boy scout troop 2059....when he wasn't driving one of them somewhere! Tom traveled many times to Walt Disney World (and once to Disneyland) with Maria and the boys, and never tired of planning "the next trip". . He enjoyed metal detecting and photography and was always lugging his Nikon along to take another picture of his sons. On warm evenings he could be found playing cards on the picnic table of his deck with Maria. He also thoroughly treasured having a big group of family and friends over each 4th of July for fun, food and fireworks. He was a lifetime member of A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania and the founding president of the Cambria Summit Chapter located in Cresson. He was the recipient of their Distinguished Service Award for over 20 years of dedication to motorcycling causes and awareness. John Byrnes every 5 years at PJ's. He was a member of the award-winning Band in his years there, playing percussion. Tom enjoyed many jobs though the years, including Laurel Extended Care Pharmacy where he met Maria while she was a Pharmacy Intern, and he was a Pharmacy Technician. For the past 15 years, Tom was employed as a Trainer/Instructional Designer at NPC in Claysburg, PA. In addition to NPC, he began a new adventure for his love of all things Disney as a Magic Maker agent for Off to Neverland Travel, celebrating his 1-year anniversary in October.
Tom was a talented musician and was in numerous bands over the last 30 years. His two favorite bands were Beyond Reason (guitarist) in the early 2000's and most recently the Rattlers Oldies Band as their drummer, both of them "family bands". He and Tommy enjoyed a special weekend together playing music at Rattler Camp in Cross Forks in September. Tom was a member of the Gallitzin American Legion Post 174 S.A.L, Ebensburg American Legion Post 363, Gallitzin Moose Lodge 185, and Gallitzin Sportsman's.
