Anna McCarty Obituary

Anna J. McCarty 87, Lilly died October 11, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born August 18, 1933 in Dunlo the daughter of the late Anthony and Sadie (Santini) Funari. Preceded in death by her husband, James on April 3, 1984, brothers, Frank, and Fred, sister Violet and husband Jack Russian, brothers-in-law, Jerome Behe and William McCoy, and a special friend and travel companion Robert Law. Survived by her children, James (Terri), Tim (Jane) and Becky (Keith) Leap and grandson Thomas Leap. Sister of Pearl Behe and Ellen McCoy and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna worked as a Dietary Aid at Laurel Crest Manor in Ebensburg. She volunteered for years as a foster grandparent, loved spending time with her family and traveling. Member of Ladies Auxiliary to the Cresson American Legion and St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 pm Friday the Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Committal church cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where the Legion of Mary will recite the rosary
