Daniel J. Rabish

Daniel J. “Dan” Rabish 72, Gallitzin died July 21,2019 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born August 31, 1946 in Gallitzin the son of the late George and Anna (Perehinec) Rabish. Survived by his wife the former Eileen Beldin whom he married Oct. 3, 1970 at St. Patrick Church, Gallitzin and children, Jeffrey (Sue) and Stacey (Sean) Barbabella, grandchildren, Megan, Katie and twins Sean and Matthew. Dan worked as a Correctional Officer at SCI Huntington and at Conrail for 10 years. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Member of Gallitzin American Legion, Moose and IMS. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching studio wrestling, western movies, playing pinochle, Patriots football and the LA Dodgers baseball. Friends will be received from 9 am to 10:30 am Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin followed by Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Demetrius Church, Gallitzin the Rev. Albert Ledoux and Msgr. Bernard Przybocki celebrants. Committal St. Mary Cemetery. Military Rites by Gallitzin American Legion and other local military organizations.
