Obituary

Dorothy A. “Dot” Stevens 92, Gallitzin died April 16, 2023, at her home. Born April 24, 1930, in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Margaret (Risbon) Eckenrode. Preceded in death by her husband, George on November 15, 1988, sons, Robert and George, twin brothers Frank and Faye, brothers Robert and David and sister Ruth Saul, Mary Wagner, and Linda Dewar. Survived by her children, Mary Ann Dybus and friend John Luke, Susan Thomas, and Lynn (Ray) James, eighteen grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Last member of her immediate family. Dot enjoyed playing bingo, Hallmark movies and especially her grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin.
