Geraldine "Gerry" (Mirovich) Stevens

Geraldine “Gerry” Stevens 87, Gallitzin died July 31, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. Born January 2, 1936, in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Skelly) Mirovich. Preceded in death by her husband John on August 20, 1972, sisters, Rosanna Maruska and Myrna Swope and brothers Ronald “Boots” Mirovich and Boyd “Butch” Mirovich. Survived by her children, Mark, Karen Adams, and Michele (Tony) McCloskey, grandchildren, Katrina, Nikolai, Calvin, TJ “Anthony Jr.” (Nicole), Jonathan, and Jacob and fiance Amber Stich and great-grandchildren Isaac, Aaliyah, Sierra and Kyle, special nephew, Bob Tutko (Laura Lenz), sister-in-law Betty Mirovich and brother-in-law Sam Stevens, last member of her family. A 1953 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Former member of St. Patrick’s School Club, Gerry enjoyed crafting, working with flowers, she owned her own greenhouse Gerry’s Greenhouse,” going for rides and getting ice cream. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. The family suggest donations be made to St. Demetrius Church, 829 Church Street, Gallitzin, PA 16641 in Gerry’s memory.
