James E. “Bull” Miller Sr., 73, Gallitzin died August 20, 2023, at his home. Born January 2, 1950, in Cresson, the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Lotito) Miller. Preceded in death by a brother-in-law Francis Sopato. Survived by his wife the former Elizabeth Howell whom he married August 24, 1970, and these children, Tracey Miller (Zack Johnson), Tami Hardesty, and Jimmy Jr. (Lauren) Miller, grandchildren, Tevon Miller, Elijah Miller, Brionna Johnson, Makayla Johnson, Jordin Miller, Justin Threatt, Carlee Hardesty, Kia Hardesty, Alicia, James III, Lucas and Grayson Miller, great-grandchildren, Tevon Jr., Nariah, Nelaya, Taiden, Kenzlee and Gianna, sisters and brothers, Patti Sopata, Catherine (John) Badger, Paulie DeLuca and Anthony DeLuca and numerous nieces, nephews and in- laws. Bull enjoyed Pirate baseball, Steelers football, Alabama Football, and watching TV. A graduate of Portage Area High School. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Member of the Cresson American Legion and St. Demetrius Catholic Church where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday (their anniversary) the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9 am until 10:30 am at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin. Military Rites by Cresson American Legion and other local military organizations.
