Joseph "Beaver" Heane

Joseph A. “Beaver” Heane, 74, Gallitzin died June 2, 2023, at his home. Born May 13, 1949, in Gallitzin, the son of the late Charles W. and Marie C. (Switzler) Heane. Preceded in death by a son David on February 28, 2009, and a brother Ira. Survived by his wife of 50 years the former Theresa Buck whom he married July 29, 1972, and these children, William, Angela and son-in-law James Lynch and Dana and son-in-law  DJ Malligan, grandchildren, Breanna, Gabrielle, Jared and Madison Lynch and Addison and Lincoln Malligan, a sister Charlotte King and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Beaver worked for Alpha for 31 years as a supervisor, he also enjoyed restoring cars. Beaver served as a Gallitzin Borough Constable and was Chief of Police of both Tunnellhill Borough and Gallitzin Township. Member of Gallitzin Sportsmen’s and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery, Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin A Vigil service will be held Sunday evening.
