Lena D. (Toffy) DeGol

Lena D. DeGol 95, a resident of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg formerly of Gallitzin died February 8,2020 at the manor. Born November 28, 1924 in Coupon the daughter of the late James and Mary (Reghetti) Toffy. Preceded in death by her husband Bruno on May 14, 2009, sister Carol Stasik and brother Tony. Survived by children, Donald (Karen Simmons), David and fiance Renee Noel, Gloria (Terry) Burgan, Bruno Jr. (Polly Elder) and Dennis, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, brother Robert (Mame) Toffy and sister, Anita (Bob) Grove and numerous nieces and nephews. Lena was self-employed working side by side with her husband Bruno in developing the DeGol Organization, along with raising her 5 children, she was the matriarch of the family, she loved to cook for her family, bowling, playing cards, college sports and especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal Alto Reste Cemetery, Altoona. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 pm Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Tuesday.
