Lois A. Peters 78, Gallitzin died February 6, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. Born December 18, 1942 in Spindley City the daughter of the late Nelson and Rose (Shenko) Cox. Survived by her husband Gorm of 59 years whom she married April 28, 1962 at St. Patrick and these children Renee (Donald) McHugh, Leah (Donald Jr.) DeGol, Christopher (Maria), Heather (Alan) Wahl and Brandon (Sarah), grandchildren Sean McHugh, Angela (Jonathon) Schafer, Rachel McHugh, Joshua and Hailey DeGol, Jaimei, Christopher and Anthony Peters, Nathan and Taylor Wahl and Abigail and Cameron Peters, great-grandchildren Ian McHugh, Emily, Spencer and Samantha Schafer and Bella, Vitalia and Santino Miller. Sisters and brothers, Joan Andrews, Connie Unverdorben, Thomas (Pamela) Cox. and Shelia Fowler, sister-in-law Judith (Bryon) Mazzocco and brother-in-law, Daniel (Leslie) Peters and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed cooking, especially Italian and Polish dishes, baking, bowling, going to the beach, playing cards, amusement parks, traveling to wine country and traveling with family to Virginia and Florida. A very devoted Catholic belonging to St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal Resurrection Mausoleum, Gallitzin. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Wednesday. The family suggests donations be made to St. Demetrius Church in Lois’s memory.
