Mark J. “Markie” Wilt, 42, Gallitzin died July 30, 2023, in Altoona. Born August 4, 1980, in Altoona the son of Mark and Kathy (Stevens) Wilt. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Martin & Ida (Madonna) Wilt and maternal grandfather, Ronald Stevens. Survived by his daughter Amiya, parents Mark & Kathy (Stevens) Wilt, sister Kylie (Matthew) Stoltz and their children Aurora and Ella, maternal grandmother, Peggy Stevens, Amber Gebhardt, mother of his daughter, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Army Veteran. Life member of Sankertown VFW. Markie enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. A 1998 graduate of Penn Cambria High School. Visitation is from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin followed by Funeral Service at 7 pm the Rev. Robert Reese officiating. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery, Gallitzin. Military rites by Sankertown VFW and other local military organizations.
