Martin P. “Smoke” Auberzinski Jr. 87, Gallitzin died December 31,2020 at James E. Van Zandt VAMC, Altoona. Born June 2, 1933 in Amsbry the son of the late Martin Sr. and Lucy (Booterbaugh) Auberzinski. Preceded in death by a granddaughter Kaitlyn Bonasso on Nov. 22,2019, sisters, Janet, and Virginia “Jiggs” Kuhns, brothers Arbo, Ernie, Jerry, and Michael. Survived by his wife of 49 years the former Barbara Litzinger and these children, Thomas, Karen (Joe) Dickerson, Paula Gearhart Snyder, Lori (Greg) Sutton, Martin, Alice (Mark) Reed and Michael (Tracy), grandchildren, Kristin, Kylie, Christian, Dawson, Rachel, Emily, Brett, Jared and Hunter and sister Lillian Dillen and brother Bill (Nancy) Auberzinski. Smoke worked as a lineman for Bell Telephone. A Korean War Veteran. A graduate of Beccaria-Coalport-Irvona High School.  Smoke enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. At the deceased request there will be no viewing or visitation. Private committal at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin.
