Mary K. (Ronto) Colangelo

Mary K. Colangelo, 74, Gallitzin died August 4, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. Born November 24, 1948, in Yatesboro the daughter of the late John and Mary (Vinansky) Ronto Jr. Preceded in death by a brother James Ronto. Survived by special friends, Mark and Amy Lego, Joyce and John “JT” Archey and her church family. Worked as a speech therapist for IU 8. Received a degree from Indiana University for speech, hearing and Handi-cap in 1969 also a master’s degree in education in May of 1973 from Indiana University. Mary taught CCD for many years, a member of the RCIA Team, a Eucharistic Minister and very active in church functions and enjoyed traveling. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal Resurrection Mausoleum. At the deceased’s request there will be no visitation. Mary asked for donations be made to St. Demetrius Church, 829 Church Street, Gallitzin in her memory.
