Nancy J. “Nana” Eckenrode 79, Cresson died October 29, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. Born December 16, 1943, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Anna Beatrice (Wilson) Lewis. Preceded in death by a granddaughter Sarah Conrad on February 20, 2009, brothers, Jack, and Dwayne and infant sister Marlene and sister Janet Fara. Survived by her husband of 60 years Charles whom she married July 27, 1963, daughters, Brenda (Daniel) Altiero and Suzanne (Mark) Conrad, grandchildren, Leanne (Adam) Pufka and their daughter Livia, Nicole (Alan) Gorba and their son Jameson, Kaitlin (Jared) Bender and Mitchell Conrad (Alexis Pierce) and their daughter Abagil sister of Thomas Lewis, Beverly (Joe) Yarnish and Harry “Bud” (Selma) Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. Worked as a cafeteria worker at All Saints Catholic School. Nana enjoyed traveling, making pizza, planning picnics and especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Friday the Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Committal Amsbry Union Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Thursday.
