Norman E. “Stormin Norman” Stevens. 81 of Ashville died July 17, 2023, at UPMC Altoona surrounded by his family. Born November 3, 1941, in Gallitzin the son of the late Kenneth and Velma (Zerbee) Stevens. Preceded in death by a son Norman and brothers, Joseph on July 16, 2023, Ronald. James (Dottie), Nancy Eberhart, Debbie Milko, and brother-in-law Ron Wilkinson. Survived by his wife of 58 years the former Judy Brady whom he married June 12, 1965, at St. Patrick Church, Gallitzin, and these daughters; Dana Stevens, Tracy (Rob) Honsted, Kimberly (Martin) Eckenrode, Lori Stevens (Bill McKinney), and Shawna McCloskey grandchildren (Bill McKinney), Robbie (Ruth), Stephanie, Courtney (Jeremy), Matthew, Tyler and Cory, great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Kynlee, Tregyn, Taylor and Madison. Brother of Bill (Lynne), Rosemary Wilkinson, and Margaret Pinkard and sisters-in-law Patricia Stevens and Harriet Stevens. Norm enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Auggie. Norm worked for Appleton Paper Co as a machinist and retired in 1995. Army Veteran serving for 3 years and 20 years in the National Guard. Member of Gallitzin American Legion and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Thursday. Military Rites by Gallitzin American Legion and other local military organizations.
