Patricia R. (Hough) Ansman

Patricia R. Ansman, 82, Pittsburgh formerly of Gallitzin died February 22, 2021 at UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born January 15, 1939 in Bellwood the daughter of the late Homer and Ruth (Hinton) Hough. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph on December 26, 2009. Survived by her daughter Diana McConnell and her grandson Andrew of Pittsburgh also son-in-law Leo McConnell, sister Betty Himes and many nieces and nephews, Patty worked as a salesperson for Sam’s Club, Altoona, also as a cook for the student and nuns at Mt. Aloysius College and was active in St. Patrick School Club when her daughter was young. A Graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. Patty loved watching the Penguins, reading, and will be sadly missed by her dogs especially Mugsy whom rescued her 11 years ago. A member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Pittsburgh and former member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9 am until 10:30 am Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin followed by the Mass at 11am.The family suggest donations be made to The Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, Pa 16602 in Patty’s memory.
