Patrick F. Shaughnessey

Patrick F. Shaughnessey 70, Gallitzin died June 19, 2020 at his home. Born December 3, 1949 in Altoona the son of the late Robert W. and Adele (Lacavich) Shaughnessey. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Walter (Jamie) Lee. Survived by sisters, Elizabeth Lee, and Mary k. (Dr. Joseph) Diacovo, nieces and nephew, Suzanne (Andrew) Caudill, Walter “Jay” Lee IV, Stephanie Diacovo and Danielle Diacovo and numerous cousins. Pat was a maintenance mechanic/ electrician for Small Tubes retiring in 2012.He enjoyed gardening, repairing stuff, model trains and pictures puzzles. A 1967 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and 1970 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College receiving a Certificate of Electrical Construction. A Fourth Degree Member of the Prince Gallitzin Assembly of the Knights of Columbus, a 3rd degree member of St. Pius X Council and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday June 24, 2020 the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil services will be held. St. Pius Council will hold a prayer service Sunday evening.
