Randy Luke Obituary

Randy l. Luke 74, Gallitzin died January 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born October 10, 1946 in Altoona the son of the late William and Anna (Baker) Luke. Preceded in death by brothers Bill Sloan, and Steve Luke, nephew Scott Sloan, great-nephew Michael Miller, son-in-law John Proudfit, and brother-in-law Maury “Butch” Delozier. Survived by his beloved wife the former Karen Brady whom he married June 1, 1968 at St. Patrick Church, and these children Lisa (Leigh) Straw, Charlene Luke (Mark Przybys) and Randy (Elizabeth), grandchildren Travis Motel (Tera), Nicole Woomer, Kristen Patterson (Joseph), Jordan Woomer fiancée Ellie Yahner, Addylyn Luke, Aiden Luke, and Randy II Luke, one great-grandson, Liam Woomer. Brother of Beverly Delozier, Ben (Diane) Luke, John Luke (Mary Ann Dybus), Ed (Debbie) Luke and Bryan (Roselee) Luke also sister-in- law Helen Luke and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Randy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was a retired Corrections Officer having worked at SCI Cresson. A Proud Vietnam Veteran. Member of Gallitzin American Legion and Ashville VFW, he also enjoyed carpentry work, hunting and fishing. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Military Rites by Gallitzin American Legion, Ashville VFW, and other local military organizations. The family suggest donation be made to the Center for Organ Recovery and Education, 204 Sigma Drive RIDC Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 in Randy’s memory. Arrangements by Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin.
