Stella C. Ruffley 91, a resident of John Paul Manor, Cresson formerly of Gallitzin died June 15, 2022, in Johnstown. Born December 26, 1930, in Lilly the daughter of the late Francis and Christina (McGuire) Wisk. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph on April 21, 2018, son-in-law Dennis Petyak, brothers, Anthony, Joseph, George, Robert, Charles and Thomas and sisters Ruth Weaver, Olean Smith, and Irene Russell. Survived by her children, Kenneth (Nancy), JoAnn Hill, Barbara Petyak, David (Sunny), Carol Ruffley, and Lynn (Rick) Poropatich, grandchildren, Daniel (Jieyu),Ruffley Jonathan (Teesta) Ruffley, Benjamin (Tatyana) Ruffley, Elizabeth Ruffley, Scott (Kris) Petyak, Stacey (Phillip) Baker, Lori (Kevin) Kiser, Joseph Petyak, Kurt (Jackie) Ruffley, Stefan Ruffley (Mia Osborn – fiance), Jennifer (Tony) Preusser, Amber (Warren) Williams and great-grandchildren, Saoirse and Shayon Ruffley, Collin and Elaina Petyak, Jaxson and Madison Baker, Sara and Katie Preusser and Eva Poropatich and one great-grandchild to be born soon and these brothers and sisters Clara Lachiewicz, Michael (Debbie) Wisk, and William (Diane) Wisk. A 1948 graduate of Edison High School in Elizabeth, NJ. Stella loved her life as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved crocheting, playing cards, bingo, and working puzzles. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal St. Patrick Cemetery, Gallitzin. Friends received from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Friday. The family suggest donations be made to the Gallitzin Tourist Council in Stella’s memory.
