Stephen J. “Stevie” Gelletta 66, Gallitzin died October 23, 2022, at his home. Born December 12,1955 in Altoona the son of the late Joseph E.” Yoka’ Jr. and Genevieve “Jenny” (Stasik) Gelletta. Survived by his wife the former Jane Gailey whom he married September 30, 1978, at St. Aloysius Church, Cresson, and twins Stephen (Bethany) and Stephanie and her dog Freddie “Bubba”, Uncle John (Shirley) Gelletta, aunts, Frances Gelletta and Dorothy Stasik, father-in-law Clifford Gailey and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. Steve worked as a purchasing agent for Yours Building Center, Altoona and owned and operated Stevie’s Formals in Cresson since 1992. A 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus St. Pius Council. and a former 4th Degree Member. Stevie enjoyed staying at home and relaxing, watching TV, Pirate baseball and going out to eat with co-workers and loved the Bee Gee’s. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin where Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant and served as lector and Eucharistic Minister. Committal St. Mary Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin where a vigil service will be held Friday evening. The family suggest donations be made to St. Demetrius Church or Gallitzin Fire Co. in Stevie’s memory. Knights of Columbus service will be held at 6 pm Friday.
