Winifred McLucas Obituary

Winifred T. “Winnie” McLucas 100, Lilly died March 29, 2022, at Penn Highland-Tyrone. Born January 10, 1922, in Lilly the daughter of the late Edward and Regina B. (McNally) Brown. Preceded in death by her husband Norman on March 13, 1969, sons Norman on July 19, 2005, and Robert on April 9, 2016, and daughter Patricia Sorichetti on August 30, 2006, siblings, David, Patrick, Edward, Raymond, Kenneth, Quentin, Kathleen Homolish and Mary Florence Ruffley. Survived by her son David and his wife Bea, special niece and her husband Coretta (Bill) Brown, grandchildren, Lori (Ed) Krug, Leslie (Alan) Krug, Bridget (DJ) Michinia, Connor McLucas and Patrick McLucas, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild 2 daughters-in-law, Carol McLucas and Marcelle McLucas and a son-in-law, Robert Sorichetti. Winnie’s greatest joys were her children and their families. She was treasured for her love and connection to each generation. Her extended family of good friends and neighbors were recipients of her kindness over her long life, she loved gardening, flowers and sewing. A 1939 graduate of Lilly High School. She worked as an aide for the Cresson Center. Member of Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church, Lilly where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday the Rev. Matthew Reese celebrant. Committal St. Brigid Cemetery. Friends received from 4 to 7 pm Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin, PA 16641
