JoAnne M. (Stanley) Brinzey

JoAnne M. Brinzey 81, Gallitzin died September 7, 2017 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 27, 1935 in Gallitzin the daughter of the late Thomas E. Sr. and Ophelia (Keever) Stanley. Preceded in death by her husband Edward A. on June 15, 2015, and a brother Thomas E. “Lefty” Jr. Survived by brother and sisters, Donald (Karen) Stanley – Altoona, Shirley (Charles) Knee – Duncansville and Dorothy (John) Cooper – Round Hill, VA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Served as President of Gallitzin Bank from July 1, 1994 until consolidating with Portage Bank and was made executive vice-president. On Oct. 10, 2000 she was  made President of Portage National Bank and retired on January 14, 2005. She was a member of Gallitzin Alumni Assoc. and St. Demetrius Finance Committee. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday at St. Demetrius the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant, please meet at church. Committal Resurrection Mausoleum. Friends will be received from 2 to 5pm Sunday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church Street, Gallitzin, Pa 16641.
